Data Sprints for Heterogeneous Issue Experts on Data Management and Data Storage

My project aims at developing prototypes for long-term, secure and sustainable data storage and management in science. I inquire, How can data mangement and data storage accommondate the variant needs of researchers, publics and changing environments? This question identifies that there is a need for action to translate the needs of researchers and publics as well as environmental concerns into the design and maintenance of scientific data infrastructures. I suggest the method of data sprints that equip issue experts with digital methods, ethnographic observations and anecdotes to build prototypes of data storage and data management collectively. Issue experts can be engineers, architects, librarians, digital scholars, scientists, planners, environmental activists, citizens, open science initatives, etc. During my stay at CAIS, I organize a total of three sprints. Besides producing practical and relevant prototypes for data storage and data management, I further develop the method of data sprints incorporating digital data and ethnographic methods in symmetry.
