AI Agents – Between Autonomy and Control

As part of the event at Villa Hügel, Prof. Dr. Christoph Bieber and experts from various disciplines will discuss the ethical and societal challenges of AI agents, as well as the role of nonprofit organizations in the responsible use of these technologies in the interest of the common good and transparency.

On April 28, Prof. Dr. Christoph Bieber, researcher at the CAIS Research Program for Digital Democratic Innovations, will discuss the ethical and societal challenges of AI agents at Villa Hügel, alongside experts from the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Social Sciences, Economics, and Culture. The discussion will also explore the role of nonprofit organizations and how they can contribute to the responsible use of AI agents with a focus on the common good, participation, and transparency.

Joining Christoph Bieber in the discussion are:

  • Matthias Biebl, founder and CEO of RLVNT.AI
  • Michael Harr, CEO of the Pro Senectute Foundation of both Basels
  • Prof. Dr. Kristian Kersting, Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at the Technical University of Darmstadt
  • Barbara Thiele, Director of Mediation and Digital at the Jewish Museum Berlin

The discussion will be moderated by author and journalist Shelly Kupferberg.

The event will take place on April 28, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Villa Hügel. Registration is required for on-site participation. However, the event will also be streamed live for free on YouTube and Instagram:
