Dr. Astrid Wichmann, science manager in CAIS research program “Educational Technologies and Artificial Intelligence,” will give a presentation titled “Jenseits der Mythen: Wie Lehrkräfte KI lernförderlich einsetzen können” (Beyond the Myths: How Teachers Can Use AI to Support Learning) at the RUB Teachers Academy on September 17, 2025. The presentation systematizes AI applications in the school context with a focus on adaptive learning support and individualized content generation. Various AI applications are introduced, and based on selected studies, the challenges of using both generative and non-generative AI in the classroom are discussed. Together with the participants, the discussion will address which measures are useful, which are overwhelming, and what contributes to a learning-conducive use of AI.
