CAIS Progress Bar 2026

On February 19, 2026, the CAIS Progress Bar invites all CAIS members to participate on site or online. The annually held format creates an open space for inter- and transdisciplinary exchange centered on current research processes.

The focus is on insights into ongoing work: researchers present topics they are currently working on, provide outlooks on planned projects, and introduce ideas for which they are still seeking collaboration partners. Unfinished or exploratory approaches are explicitly welcome. The aim is to obtain early feedback, develop new perspectives, and collect impulses for further development – before projects are presented at conferences or submitted to journals.

At the same time, the Progress Bar fosters exchange between researchers, fellows, and administrative staff, thereby strengthening networking across the institute. All CAIS members are invited to contribute, join the discussion, and build new connections.

This year, presentations will be given by Artur Solomonik, Sigrid Kannengießer, Constanze Rimbach, Feng Liu, Marco Wähner, Aryan Shooshtari, Christoph Bieber, Alisa Maksimova, and Max Brenker.
