Researchers from the CAIS research program “Educational Technologies and Artificial Intelligence” – Prof. Dr. Nikol Rummel, Interim Prof. Dr. Sebastian Strauß, and Anna Radtke – are taking part in this year’s conference of the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI) in Graz, Austria. Through several symposium contributions, a roundtable discussion, and a poster presentation, they bring current research on educational technologies, collaborative learning, and AI-supported teaching into the international discussion.
This year marks the 40th edition of EARLI, held under the theme “Realising Potentials through Education: Shaping the Minds and Brains for the Future.” The conference explores how education can unlock individual and societal potential – regardless of background or life circumstances – and the role cognitive and neural processes play in lifelong learning. Its aim is to discuss evidence-based and equitable educational practices, grounded in interdisciplinary research, that help learners recognize their strengths and develop talents with a positive impact on their communities.
