New Professorship for “Digital Transformation in Work and Society”

The CAIS, together with TU Dortmund University, is filling the professorship (Open Rank W2 tenured or W1 with W2 tenure track) at the earliest possible date.

The following position is available at the Department of Social Sciences at TU Dortmund University in a joint appointment procedure with the Center for Advanced Internet Studies (CAIS) in Bochum based on the “Jülicher Modell” (starting at the earliest possible date):

Professorship (Open Rank W2 tenured or W1 with W2 tenure track) “Digital Transformation in Work and Society”

The professorship focuses on the social-scientific study of the digital transformation of work and society – including topics such as digital participation and sovereignty, platform work, inequalities, diversity, and inclusion. We are seeking a researcher who will further develop and strengthen this field of research with national and international visibility, and who will actively contribute to interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary projects, external funding acquisition, early-career support, and teaching.

Applicants should hold an outstanding doctoral degree and demonstrate relevant scholarly publications. For appointment to a W2 professorship, additional qualifications are expected, including a habilitation (or equivalent achievements), international visibility, and a successful record in securing third-party funding.
