What can AI really do today? How does it work? And what should we all know about it to be able to join in the discussion?

4. October 2021

There is much discussion about artificial intelligence – especially about the question of what such systems should perhaps rather not be able to do and decide. But what can AI really do today? How does it work? And what should we all know about it in order to be able to join in the discussion?

Prof. Laurenz Wiskott researches the theory of neural systems at the Institute for Neuroinformatics at the Ruhr University Bochum. With him, Dr. Matthias Begenat from the Center for Advanced Internet Studies (CAIS) and Silke Offergeld (State Chancellery of North Rhine-Westphalia) look at some myths and truths about artificial intelligence.
