A new article by Josephine B. Schmitt has been published in a brochure with the ZBW Innovation Project.

The promotion of media literacy is important as a long-term and multi-faceted cross-cutting issue-regardless of age. Educational institutions are central instances for imparting media competence. This is not only limited to kindergarten, school and extracurricular educational work-and younger media users. Second-chance institutions (ZBW) also play a crucial role in media education. The article gives an overview of different critical (media) competences, which curricular points of contact and pedagogical challenges exist in the ZBW.
