The article on Urban-Digital documents a survey of the use of digital council systems in North Rhine-Westphalia and shows that all the municipalities analysed use a corresponding software solution. In addition to tendencies of hesitant usage practice, it also provides interesting insights into the design of the framework conditions for municipal administrative modernisation. In terms of applied digitalisation research, the CAIS aims to exchange ideas with those involved in municipal digitalisation in order to link scientific expertise more closely with design-oriented administrative practice.
