On March 1st (starting at 1 PM), Christoph Bieber from the research program DDI – Digital Democratic Innovations will be a guest on Breitband, a program by Deutschlandfunk Kultur, which this time focuses on the topic “Why we don’t have digital elections in Germany”.
Digitalization is more than just e-voting: The challenges of voting from abroad highlight modernization potential for the German federal election. In the interview, Christoph Bieber explores opportunities for the digital modernization of the election process. Topics include potential benefits for political parties in the nomination process, the effectiveness of automated vote counting, and the possibility of equipping mail-in ballots with a tracking function.
