On 20 April, a group of interested people from the VHS Bochum visited the CAIS. After a short introduction about the CAIS, they were given an insight into selected findings of the MeMoKI. Finally, Josephine Schmitt introduced them to the work of the research incubator and invited them in a small incubator session to share which topics they think are important and should be researched at CAIS.
Among many concerns about the power and uncontrollability of digital applications and artificial intelligence, they were concerned with questions of digital inclusion and exclusion. How can digital media be designed in such a way that all population groups can participate in society? Who trains older people in the digital possibilities? What role do digital media play in language, education and literature? How are professions and services changing?
These and other questions were discussed in lively debates.
