Lecture by Gerhard Vowe in May

How can the connection between digital transformation and political change be modelled?

On 19 May 2023, Gerhard Vowe will give a presentation on the status report on DFG research collaborations.

6. April 2023

Political changes such as the rise of left-wing and right-wing populism are often placed in a causal relationship with the digital transformation. In order to empirically test this assumption, a model is required. The lecture proposes to construct a macro-micro link that connects the changes in society as a whole on the macro level with changes on the micro level of actors. This requires bridging hypotheses on the perception of media possibilities by actors, selective implementation and aggregation.
