The 20th International Conference “Wirtschaftsinformatik” (WI) will take place at the University of Münster from September 13 to 17, 2025. Anne Goldmann, research associate in CAIS research program “Digital Democratic Innovations”, gives a presentation titled “Narrating the AI Act” on September 17 as part of Workshop 6, “2nd Workshop on the Regulation of AI Systems,” highlighting a political science perspective on the topic.
The conference Wirtschaftsinformatik is the most important platform for networking and exchange on information systems in the German-speaking world. Under this year’s theme, “Digital Future of Society and Business,” participants are invited to explore how digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, can have a positive impact on social, economic, and ecological challenges, as well as to examine the ethical risks associated with them. The conference provides a forum for discussing the forward-looking and responsible design of information systems, as well as the role of businesses and governments in this endeavor.
