According to the study ‘A Topical Review of Research in Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning: Questions and Possibilities’ (Kaliisa et al., 2025), Prof. Dr. Nikol Rummel is one of the most productive authors in the field of research on computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL).
The study deals with the evolution and state of CSCL research and analyses 6388 documents from the period 1990 to 2022. The results show the constant engagement of a central group of scientists and the regional dominance of the field in Western countries, particularly in the USA and Europe.
