On 8.12.2022 at 6:30 pm, the 2nd lecture of the lecture series “(Living)Together in Digital Worlds” took place, which is organised and moderated by Susanne Hahn and Jonathan Seim.

The lecture entitled “Participatory justice in working life: The Opportunities of Digitalisation” was given by Dr Hauke Behrendt (University of Stuttgart) at the University of Düsseldorf.

Abstract: Despite all the justified concerns about new waves of automation, it is often overlooked that digitalisation also holds opportunities to ensure participation in the world of work for people who would otherwise be affected by exclusion. If we use its potential correctly, digitalisation can serve social progress.
