How can digital education in NRW be shaped in practical, participatory, and impactful ways? And how can we collectively address challenges such as artificial intelligence and disinformation? These are the questions that will take center stage at the “Digitalwegweiser NRW” Barcamp on September 25, 2025, at the Volkshochschule Dortmund – where people from all over North Rhine-Westphalia will come together, whether professionally, as volunteers, or as part of an organization.
Everyone who supports adults (16+) in using digital media safely, critically, and creatively is invited – whether working in educational institutions, libraries, community centers, or as media trainers. In the open format of a Barcamp, the focus is on peer-to-peer exchange.
The program will also include a marketplace of opportunities, learning stations, and lightning talks. It’s a chance to share experiences, ask questions, explore digital learning tools, and gather fresh ideas for your own work. The event will focus especially on artificial intelligence and disinformation – two topics that are shaping the present and future of media education.
