The symposium “AI in Science Communication: Impacts on Perception and Learning” will take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the College for Social Sciences and Humanities in Essen. The event focuses on current developments, challenges, and future perspectives in science communication. The program includes a poster exhibition, keynote lectures, and a panel discussion with a special emphasis on the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence in science communication.
CAIS researcher Jasmin Baake, from the research program “Design of Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence” will join the panel discussion on AI-supported science communication, focusing on perception, knowledge acquisition, and credibility.
The conference is organized by Dr. Valentina Nachtigal (Ruhr University Bochum) and Dr. Maximilian Krug (University of Duisburg-Essen). It is supported by the PostdocLab Funding program of the College for Social Sciences and Humanities in Essen.
