Prof. Christiane Eilders, Scientific Director of CAIS, was a guest at the Parliamentary Breakfast in the North Rhine-Westphalia State Parliament on 5 November, invited by Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU). This edition of the Parliamentary Breakfast focused on the topic “Digital Media as a Challenge and a Task for Shaping the Future.” In her talk, Christiane Eilders examined polarization within social milieus in NRW and its connection to milieu-specific media use. After further inputs and talks, a lively discussion followed among the members of the state parliament, the Second Vice President of the State Parliament, Berîvan Aymaz, HHU President Prof. Anja Steinbeck, as well as Prof. Marc Ziegele, Prof. Anne Schneider, and Prof. Christiane Eilders.
