Prof. Hendrik Heuer, together with Sven Goller and Prof. Daniel Buschek, has published the article “Writing Support Tools for Making Text Understandable: A Socio-Technical Perspective on Stakeholder-Centered Writing” in i-com – Journal of Interactive Media. Their contribution investigates how software can support writers in making texts more understandable for people with cognitive impairments.
On December 11, Besjon Cifliku, Jasmin Baake, and Prof. Hendrik Heuer from the CAIS research program “Desig of Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence” provided the STRG_F team at NDR with insights into how artificial intelligence can support journalistic work.
At the invitation of WDR, CAIS researchers Jasmin Baake, Besjon Cifliku, and Prof. Hendrik Heuer presented current work on artificial intelligence and journalism at the WDR AI Forum on December 8, 2025, an internal digital professional development format.
CAIS researcher Prof. Hendrik Heuer will present his paper on October 20, 2025, at CSCW 2025 in Bergen, Norway. In it, he examines which measures against misinformation are particularly effective, and what their potentials and risks are.
On September 22, 2025, Besjon Cifliku will deliver the opening keynote at the journalism summer school organized by the Hans-Böckler-Stiftung. His talk is titled “AI Support for Investigative (Data) Journalism.”
