A paper project involving CAIS researcher Ahrabhi Kathirgamalingam will be presented on October 16, 2025, at AoIR2025 in Brazil. It examines how large language models are transforming workflows for content analysis in the social sciences.
On 30 September 2025, Prof. Johannes Breuer and Dr. Marco Wähner (CAIS) will participate in the Round Table on Data Access at the Representation of North Rhine-Westphalia to the EU in Brussels. The discussions will focus on research access to platform data and the study of disinformation under the Digital Services Act.

Dr. Marco Wähner presents his research findings as part of the panel “Modeling Choice in Society” on September 11 at the 2nd MethodsNET conference. The conference will take place from September 10 to 12, 2025, in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, and is being organized by UCLouvain and GESIS, among others.
Since September 1, 2025, Prof. Dr. Johannes Breuer is the new Head of the “Research Data & Methods” team at CAIS. Together with the University of Duisburg-Essen, he has been appointed Professor of Digital Social Sciences.
