From December 4 to 6, 2025, the interdisciplinary conference “transformativ” on artificial intelligence, ethics, and society takes place in Heilbronn. Organized in cooperation by experimenta and RHET AI, the conference addresses issues surrounding the changes brought about by AI. It aims to contribute to the development of ethical and social communication and action strategies in relation to AI. CAIS is also represented at the conference with two contributions.

On November 15, 2025, Dr. Astrid Wichmann conducts the workshop “KI als Unterstützung für Lehrkräfte: Entlastung, Chancen und Herausforderungen” as part of the Lehrkräfte PLUS alumni conference at Ruhr University Bochum. She explores the topic of teachers’ health and well-being and highlights the possibilities that artificial intelligence can offer in terms of technical support.

At the 20th European Conference on Technology Enhanced Learning (ECTEL), held from September 15-19, 2025, in Newcastle and Durham, UK, the paper by CAIS researchers Katharina Teich and Prof. Nikol Rummel, together with Conrad Borchers, was awarded the Best Paper Award.
