CAIS at the Digitalization Working Group of the Städtetag NRW

At the March 2026 meeting of the Digitalization Working Group of the Städtetag NRW at ZenDiS in Bochum, questions of digital sovereignty were at the forefront. In this context, CAIS researchers Prof. Tim Majchrzak and Prof. Christoph Bieber were invited on March 24, 2026, to give an impulse lecture on the transformation of digital democratic discourses, providing insights into CAIS research.

CAIS Research Programme T3D Represented at ICA 2026

The CAIS research programme “Transformation of Digital Democratic Discourses” (T3D) will present multiple contributions at the 76th Annual International Communication Association (ICA) Conference. In addition, the researchers are organizing a DGPuK panel on polarization in the climate discourse. The conference will take place from 4 to 8 June 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa.

CAIS Researchers Organize DGPuK Session on Polarization in the Climate Discourse

At the International Communication Association (ICA) Conference 2026 in Cape Town, CAIS researchers are organizing the DGPuK session. The panel “Inter- and Intra-Group Polarization Dynamics in the Climate Discourse: A Mixed-Method Perspective” examines polarization in the German climate discourse as well as inter- and intra-group dynamics from a mixed-methods perspective, bringing current research from Germany into international exchange.
