Esther Laufer is responsible for the implementation, evaluation and strategic development of the CAIS funding programme. She coordinates the selection process and is the contact person for applicants, fellows and organisers of funded working groups.
- From 2016 to 2017, she was a project officer at the Horst Görtz Institute for IT Security at the Ruhr University Bochum, where she was involved in the conception and development of CAIS.
- From 2011 to 2016, she worked as a research coordinator at the Institute of German Studies at the Ruhr University Bochum in the DFG project “Classics in Context: On the Functioning of Medial Transfer Processes Using the Example of Early Modern Translations of Classics”.
- Esther Laufer studied German and art history at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum (Bachelor and Master), holds a Master of Philosophy in European Literature and Culture from the University of Cambridge and was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the same university in 2011.
