Dr. Katrin Weller is scientific director of the Data Services for the Social Sciences department at GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences. Previously, she led the “Digital Society Observatory” team within the Computational Social Science department at GESIS (2015-2024). From 2021-2023 she was also co-leader of the Research Data & Methods team at CAIS. Dr. Weller received her PhD in information science from the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. In her research, she addresses the challenges of social science research data, including research data management and data quality, also related to new types of research data in the area of digital behavioral data.
