Prof. Dr Martin Ebers is President of the Robotics & AI Law Society(RAILS) and Professor of IT Law at the University of Tartu (Estonia). In addition, as a habilitated private lecturer, he is a permanent member of the Faculty of Law at Humboldt University in Berlin. His work and research focuses on law & technology, in particular artificial intelligence, as well as German and European private and commercial law.
His most recent books are: Algorithms and Law (Cambridge University Press, 2020); Algorithmic Governance and Governance of Algorith ms (Springer Nature, 2021); and Contracting and Contract Law in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (Hart Publishing, 2022).
Martin Ebers is currently a visiting scholar at CAIS, researching issues of regulation and standardisation of artificial intelligence.
