Sebastian Strauß

Dr. Sebastian Strauß is an associated researcher in the research program. His focus is on educational psychology, in particular computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL). The main focus of his research is on small group learning using educational technology to support interaction between group members and the acquisition of collaborative skills. He also investigates the circumstances under which people “blindly rely” on advice from adaptive (“intelligent”) systems such as advisory teacher dashboards. To address these research questions, Sebastian Strauß conducts experimental studies, for example by means of questionnaires and by collecting behavioral data (e.g. from videos or computer log files).
