Join us in shaping the digital future – at CAIS in Bochum

The Center for Advanced Internet Studies (CAIS) is a central hub for forward-looking digitalization research in North Rhine-Westphalia – funded by the state of NRW since 2021. Our mission: to shape the digital transformation in a way that serves people and society. At CAIS, we develop scientifically grounded and practice-oriented solutions to the major challenges of digitalization.

Founded in 2017 as a research college, CAIS is now a vibrant meeting place for international guest researchers, interdisciplinary research teams, and experts from academia and practice. We bring together perspectives from the social sciences, humanities, and technical disciplines – and we test our findings directly in real-world settings.

Whether in research, administration, or communications: Those who work with us become part of a committed, open team that lives and breathes interdisciplinary collaboration.

You can find our current job openings here. We look forward to receiving your application.

CAIS is certified as an Excellent Employer in the field of ”Human Resources Management at an Interdisciplinary Research Institute with Participatory Cooperation between Researchers and Administration,“ issued by TÜV Rheinland.
