Ann-Christin Falhs

Ann-Christin Falhs has been a research associate in the Educational Technologies and Artificial Intelligence research program since December 2023. In the field of complementarity between teachers and technology, she researches the use of digital learning software in the classroom with a focus on intelligent tutorial systems (ITS).

Curriculum vitae

Ann-Christin Falhs has been a research associate at the Chair of Psychology and Educational Technology at Ruhr-Universität Bochum since February 2021 and has supported the research program Educational Technologies and Artificial Intelligence at the Center for Advanced Internet Studies since 2022, initially as an associate researcher and since December 2023 as a research associate.
As part of research collaborations, she works both nationally with researchers from the Leibniz Institute for Science and Mathematics Education (IPN) in Kiel and the Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education (DIPF) in Frankfurt. Internationally, there is a research project with scientists from the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) Pittsburgh, in which researchers from Monash University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison are also involved.
From 2006 to 2012, she studied Biology and Educational Science at the Ruhr University Bochum (B.A.) and completed her studies in Educational Science (M.A.) from 2012 to 2021. Alongside her studies, she worked as an office manager in the education segment and as a test manager for the IEA Hamburg (International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement) as part of various educational studies (including PISA, NEPS, IGLU/ PIRLS, TIMMS).
