Marco Wähner is a research assistant in the Research Data & Methods department. There he supports researchers in different phases of the research process, especially in data collection and analysis. He is also a research assistant at the Institute of Social Sciences at the Chair of Sociology and a doctoral student at the NRW Research College “Online Participation”. His research interests include empirical social research methods, digital behavioural data and online participation. The focus of his doctoral thesis is the investigation of (individual) conditions of political participation on the internet by means of factorial survey experiments.
