The use of web video formats is still booming in extremism prevention. They are supposed to encourage reflection and critical participation, impart knowledge and media competence or strengthen ties to pluralism and democracy. But there is criticism: on the one hand about the quality, the reach or the costs, on the other hand about the meaningfulness and effectiveness of these formats. In the context of the lecture, the different experiences from the field will be gathered and discussed with regard to their effectiveness in the prevention of radicalisation.
